About the Business
The family business was founded by Fred Blount in 1945. The company specialised in all areas of plumbing and heating repairs and installations and included lead and copper work. In those days our plumbers could be seen carrying the tools of their trade around on bicycles & hand carts. As the business expanded steadily we saw our customer base grow. Our offices, which were based in Northfield Avenue near Kettering Railway Station, became well known to those that required our services. Nick Blount joined the company in 1976 as an apprentice plumber, heating and ventilation engineer. Business turnover continued to increase further and recruitment of qualified staff and additional investment of company resources was required. In 1984 Nick became a full partner of the business and administer of the business with the assistance of a professional management team.

Irthlingborough, NorthamptonshireCharged me £216 for doing absolutely nothing. It was a flat I rented out, and there was no call after their visit so I had no idea they'd even been. Their invoice only told me what I already knew, didn't actually fix anything and never bothered to follow up the visit with any kind of remedial advice or appointment. An excerpt: "Waited for immersion to heat up but it was going to take too long from cold to wait around". Says it all...
