We are a local family run plumbing and heating business based 10 miles north of Salisbury in the picturesque settings of Durrington. Famously renowned for the Durrington Walls and only a short walk away from the world heritage site at Stonehenge. We offer all scopes of plumbing and heating which includes plumbing repairs/replacement, boiler repairs/replacement, boiler servicing and landlord safety certificates. We charge a flat rate which ensures you avoid any unpleasant bills once the work is complete.

We offer free estimates for larger works. All of our work comes with a 12 month workmanship guarantee to give you piece of mind along with allocating you a job time to ensure you’re not waiting around for an engineer all day. Our primary goal is to fix/replace your plumbing or heating problem in turn making sure that you and your family are safe with the least disruption as possible.

It’s important to us that our engineers are tidy and respectful of your home so we make sure that we tidy up after ourselves. By law, under the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998, it’s your responsibility as the landlord to get a Gas Safety Certificate every twelve months. You must get this from a Gas Safe Registered engineer for all pipe work, gas appliances and flues installed at your property.

Having a dependable and reliable boiler which provides hot water and heat to your property is an essential daily need. However, like many other things, it needs to be regularly checked and tested to make sure all components are working correctly.

An annual boiler service can prevent potential problems, avoid unwanted disruption and ensures maximum central heating efficiency which in turn will keep your energy bills to a minimum. A boiler that isn’t working to its capacity can have a very dramatic impact on your energy bills.

It’s also important to remember that in order for your Boiler warranty to remain valid you do need to ensure that it’s serviced annually. All of our boilers come with a manufacturer warranty so make sure that your always covered under the lifetime of that warranty by having it serviced annually.

It’s worth reminding that a faulty boiler can be extremely dangerous. According to government statistics, each year in the UK, around 4,000 people go to A&E with carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning due to leaking boilers, 200 people are hospitalised and on average, 50 adults and children die. Our expert Boiler Replacement team will be able to walk you through all of the options available to you including the different boilers that are currently on the market. We offer different boiler solutions to match your requirements including both Gas and Oil installations along with LPG.

Modern boilers are more efficient for several reasons, but their main advantage is that they are all condensing boilers. All well-maintained boilers burn their fuel very efficiently, but they inevitably lose some heat in the hot gases that escape up the flue. A condensing boiler has a larger heat exchanger, so it recovers more heat, sends cooler gases up the flue and is more efficient.

Sometimes the flue gases get so cool that the water vapour in the gas condenses out, hence the name, and even more energy is recovered from the condensing vapour.

Most old gas and oil boilers are regular boilers that have a separate hot water cylinder to store hot water, rather than providing it directly from the boiler. When you replace your boiler you can buy a new regular boiler, and keep your hot water cylinder, or buy a combi boiler that doesn’t need a cylinder.

A regular boiler is more efficient than a combi at producing hot water in the first place, but then some heat is lost from the hot water cylinder, so a combi may be more efficient overall.

Well what can i say. A1 service from start to finish. After having our shower fitted by another company and it not working .Then not been able to get them back to sort it i was losing the will to live with no shower. I rang Stonehenge plumbing and heating and they sent someone out to look at the problem. He then went away and researched the shower that had been fitted. Came back to us in a couple of days with a plan to resolve it. Appointment booked and plumbers turned up to complete the job. Sorted promptly and now we can use the shower.
