All types of natural gas boiler installations undertaken. All new boilers installed since April 2005 must be of the condensing type. These are more than 90% efficient and can make substantial savings to your gas usage – a pilot light burning on and older type boiler can represent 5% of your gas bill! We can discuss locating your new boiler in your kitchen or utility room, airing cupboard or even in the loft.
Does your central heating make banging noises? Are there cold patches on the radiators (especially at the bottom)? There’s a good chance it needs Power Flushing! A central heating system should have a chemical inhibitor added once a year – most don’t which means a build up of sludge will impair the effectiveness of the system. Power Flushing will remove the deposits in the radiators making your central heating much more efficient.
Older cylinders do not have the foam insulation you find on new versions. They also can have a huge amount of lime scale deposits on the inside meaning that they are very inefficient (take much longer to heat your water and restrict flow). The lack of insulation also means that the energy you pay for to heat the water is lost as it cools down that much quicker.
